Default Air intake question

Do you guys think this is a good option for a CAI? http://www.ebay.com/itm/94-01-DODGE-...e17e76&vxp=mtr

One of those kits with a 3.5inch filter from like o riley's. Is that a good option? Can you actually tell a difference? Also im curious, what exactly does a throttle body spacer do, and does that help as well? Anyone got an idea on a good brand for one of those to?

Throttle body spacer does exactly nothing but waste your money.

Ah jeez...

Throttle body spacer is a paper weight, or you could put your beer bottle in it.... It's useless on MultiPort Injection Motors....

CAI is fairly useless too. However, with that kit you could create your own CAI with PVC pipe and run it down to the bumper and get sorta a "ram air" style thing going...

That is a cheap price....

Save your money.

CAI will do nothing. It draws air from the same place as factory. Just get a K&N drop in and be done.

Throttle body spacer is also worthless.

But is always drawing nice toasty air from under the hood..... at least with the factory setup, when you are moving, you are getting cooler air from inside the fender....

Anybody ever thought about making a scoop to pull in air from the front of the truck into the fender behind the headlight?

See my post.

I already suggested that.

Bunch of the 3rd Gen boys make their own CAI with PVC. The kit would allow him to do the same, and he could tuck it into the bumper...

Yup, there are a couple threads on it too..... links to some interesting air hats, etc. Search would probably turn them up, but, would get a whole bunch of other stuff as well... I think it was in the last year or so at any rate.... (like that helps a lot. )

I'm talking about just cutting a hole in the radiator trim thing, and running something into the area in the fender.
