Default Wanting Horsepower Info

I was wondering if anyone knows what the factory horsepower statistics are for a 96 Dodge Ram 1500 2wd with a 5.9L Magnum, and a est. horse power haveing K&N 14" Filter Kit, Accel Ignition Parts(Distributer Cap, Rotor, U-Groove Spark Plugs, 8mm 9000 wires, and coil), true 2 1/4 dual exahust(No cat). Also what tranny it has I know its a 3speed auto with OD, and am also trying to figure out what rearend is in it and how to know what is in it. Thanks.

hey another website you might be interested in is www.apsprecsion.com they have bullet proof tranny's and also an aluminum plenum kit for the intake manifold. the mag motor is prone to having a leaky plenum gasket and this kit is worth every penny to fix it. check the DIY forum for the fix.

The rear end is a chrysler corp. 9-1/4 I think the 5.9's had around 240 from the factory. the easy way to find out what you have is to take your vin # to a dealer and ask them for a build sheet with all of your standard equipment and options
