Default 4x4 Clicking Noise..

Trying to troubleshoot a clicking noise I have been experiencing only in 4x4. (its always something) The sound is somewhat comparable to a card in bicycle spokes. Could not hear the noise with front and rear end on jack stands..It is not the axle (wheel) U joints as they are new, and I checked the axle splines and they are not worn down at all. the noise shouldn't be the hubs as they are also new, (6 months old) could it be possible that they just need grease? Idk what else it could be..

the noise is really only noticeable above 15ish mph, and it will sometimes continue making the noise for a few seconds after I disengage 4x4.. Help is greatly appreciated!

Check joints in front driveshaft as well. May only make the noise while under load....

To continue with what HeyYou said the CV joint on your front driveshaft could be what is making the noise.
