Default Rear window pop-out latch

The passenger side rear window latch on my 01 quad cab popped off the window about a month ago. Super glue, gorilla glue, 60 second epoxy, and a quiksteel epoxy have all tried and failed at keeping it secured to the window while in the closed, locked position. I'm just about at my wits end with it. Anyone else had this problem or know of anything else to try? It has to be able to withstand the pressure of being pulled and locked into place.

VW and Dodge is parting out a truck in the classifieds. Can't recall if he has std cab or quad. Otherwise PM Zman or check ebay. Zman goes to JY periodically and can probably pick one up. Tell him interior color.

Well, I thought of that, but I'd have to get the window too wouldn't I? Since the window and the latch are attached from the factory with that ungodly strong adhesive?

Don't know. I replaced the latch on my Yota but not on Ram. Is it glued? Of so, you should be able to clean it off very good and reglue. Check with a glass shop. Maybe a specialty glue.

I have an extended cab. PM me if you're interested in a window from my truck.

I just picked up a new latch for my 95 from Rockauto for <$4. I haven't looked closely at what was left of the original but it appears to attach via screws.

ETA: Never mind, I thought you were talking about the rear glass window latch. I need to work on that reading comprehension thing. Best of luck.

Maybe Loctite rear view mirror adhesive will work.

Update: FINALLY found an adhesive that will hold on. Plastic Weld epoxy from AutoZone. Has worked for a while now, wanted to wait to make sure the results would be good enough to bother posting. 😊
