Default Airbag light on, no cruise, but horn works?

No codes, no cruise, airbag light on, and horn works. I initially thought clockspring, but the horn works.

The light for the pass airbag switch also works.

Cruise control lights up but doesnt work.

I'm primarily looking to fix the airbag light. I'm open to ideas.

Brake light switch on the pedal and a corroded/damaged vac line under the battery can cause issues with cruise contol and other (abs issues), Check them first.

Clockspring wire could be bad too.

If the clockspring was bad, Wouldn't the horn and cruise control button on the steering wheel not work then? The dash light still works even if the cruise doesn't.

I have the same problem with the (Air bag) light staying on. It started a week ago when i was trying to hook up these ground wires between the drive side cylinder head and intake manifold. I have a short or ground problem that is causing my new Optima battery to drain within 3-4 days. Anyways I believe that this issue is what caused the Air Bag light to stay on the cluster. Any ideas yet?

Not necessarily . And even if the cruise might not be related, you might want to fix it, as you probably have a vacuum leak.

Good point, and yes most of the time a bad clockspring is indicated by no cruise horn etc. However it can happen that only a few wires go bad, so I just put it out there as something to keep in mind in case all else fails.

Might want to pull the steering column covers and have a look at the wires, if you have a tilt wheel, it's also pretty common for wires to break or get chaffed.
