Pulls Left when braking
So could I just get away with greasing my pins, or is replacement required?
Greasing pins may be part of it, but caliper problems can be piston sticking also. Best to pull front wheels off and do an overall visual of brake components and see what condition it is in. Go from there. Replace everything that is worn or questionable. Hoses included....
I took the left wheel off and while I didn't remove the hose, I did remove the caliper and cleaned the pins and their guides. I lubed it all up, but still pulls left when you first apply the brakes. Guess I'll be replacing calipers...
One other thought... Double check the right side and the fluid levels. It's possible that you got some air on the right side. Checking fluids, checking hoses, and bleeding the lines are all cheaper than calipers.
Either way you want it figured out quickly. Hate to have a caliper seize up on you while you're driving. That can mess up your wole day.

Everything looks ok on the outside, so I will order 2 new calipers. What is a good brand? OEM?
And is there a DIY link for the task? I guess swapping out calipers should be pretty easy, but I'm not certain on the procedure for bleeding the brakes afterwards.

Get new brake hoses too. And a Haynes manual, and download one of the free manuals from the FAQ/DIY section, you'll have all the info you need.
As far as brand goes, that's not a big deal, get the best you can afford. Got to Rock Auto to order and use the discount code available in the 2nd gen ram general discuss section.

Ended up with rear parking brake cable that were not designed like OEM(Raybestoes). Also ended up with a caliper (Bendix) that would stick.
By the time I send everything back and pay shipping to do it I wont save any money.
I should have just bought everything at NAPA, which is where I bought the parts to replace the bad parts I got.
Also on the note of the sticking caliper.
My truck was darting to the left when I would hit the brakes right after i redid the brakes.
It was the right front caliper that would not release at all, so when i put the brakes on in the drive the right side would not release thus causing brakes to heat up going down the road, causing brake fade.
When i did hit the brakes to stop truck would dart to the left because the left was grabbing and the right had already heated to the point of brake fade.

It took me 3 hours to change both calipers and both hoses, and bleed them properly. Everything went well, but the driver's side hose was rusted to its bracket. Probably wasted 1 hour there alone.
Anyway, truck no longer pulls left! And maybe, just maybe, the issue of the rear brakes grabbing when damp might be gone. That is a common problem for these trucks and one I have suffered with for 6 years. This morning was very damp with dew, and the rear brakes would have normally locked up at the 1st stop sign I encountered. Today, they didn't! I will will keep you posted on that.
