My '97 Ram with 216,000 miles pulls pretty hard initially when I hit the brake pedal. Once I 've slowed down somewhat, it quits pulling and tracks straight even if I'm still braking. Nothing has been replaced or touched in the front end/brakes recently, so its a problem that just developed on its own. Any thoughts?
And on a side note, the brake lines are all original. Is replacing all the brake lines/hoses something I should be doing soon, just 'cause?
I had the same problem with my truck, turned out to be the left caliper hanging.
$657 later I had new calipers, rotors, pads and hoses.
I would advise it. lol But check your hoses first.
Probably around a hundred bucks in parts. 150 at most. The rest is labor. Unless you have a REALLY high paying job, you could take a week off, fix your own brakes, and STILL come out ahead.

This is true, but I work weekends, and I don't have any time during the week as I work the garden constantly. Food production is priority in this house.
