Of course, it depends on your mileage, but so far in my 5.9 360 with 26 gallon tank, I get a range of 320-330, depending on driving ratio of highway to city. Averaging 13.4 (as per my Fuelly). It depends on a whole lot of factors really....
Once I get to 65 it really starts to struggle down the road in terms of power and drivetrain. By drive train it seem to just be more shakey and bumpy above 60-62. So I wonder if it needs some U joints in the shaft.
It definitely is getting a fuel pump soon and I'll be checking the plenum soon. I have a feeling a new fuel pump will make a difference.
Lets keep this in the same thread if you don't mind. Fix the other known issues and let's go from there. Otherwise it will get too confusing and you'll get conflicting feedback. Thanks
New fuel pump is in! Engine revs up better sounds better and truck has was more power and of course starts on a dime. Also before I did the job I had 410 miles on the tank and about a gallon of gas left on the 26 gallon tank. So 16 mpg with plenty of city trips and idling running tests. We'll se if that goes up!
UPDATE, I went to fill my tank up from super empty and it took 33.8 gallons so closer to 12.5 mpg. Clearly with a 35 gallon tank, at 1/8 th of a tank there are still 10 gallons left! So now I have to try for 500 on a tank.
