48# of fuel pressure should supply adequate fuel at WOT. Any smoke, and if so, does exhaust smell rich? Have you checked the plenum?

And yes, the cat could clog, kin of when sitting. If it was substantially clogged before while running, it could solidify even more as it sits, as it is started again, etc.

I suspect there is more than one problem going on. Maybe disconnect the battery ground, remove and clean IAC, and test TPS.

I'm not sure if anyone asked this question yet but I'll ask it anyways.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for codes?

You have an OBDII system built into that truck so therefore may be necessary to use it, unfortunate as it may be.

No check engine light, and no codes. IAC is clean. Didn't check the TPS yet, could this make it run this bad? Seems like with past trucks a bad TPS would run bad, but not this bad. Still thinking fuel pressure related. Today I will get proper fitting to Tee into fuel line to check fuel pressure above idle. Checked entire fuel rail and I still can't find a test port. Also starting to rethink the timing. The only check I did was: harmonic balancer ~0Deg, cyl#1 at TDC and distributor neer #1 cylinder. would this need to be checked closer than this? In the past when I had a motor jump time it was way off. Thanks again.

Think dropping the exhaust at the manifold would show me something? Though it would be running without either O2 sensor.

Well if it revs above 1200 rpm's that will be a start. Doesn't matter how it sounds, and it might not run great without the o2's, but if you can rev it up higher than 1200, I'd say it is clogged beyond just doing the o2 removal test. Any chance you can post a pic of the driver side fuel rail? Take a pic and upload it to photobucket and copy and paste the IMG. file to your post here.

Thanks for the pics bud. That will be the first time I and most likely anyone here has seen a metal fuel rail on a ram without a test port. On a side note, that one is a lot easier to get the adapters for the pressure tester than the 97 plastic rail is.
