The 318 probably has the NV3500 behind it, which really won't last very long behind a 360, in a 3/4 ton truck.... especially if you use it AS a truck..... also makes a difference if the trucks are 2, or 4 wheel drive. Can't mix and match transmission. At least, not easily.

Using everything off the donor truck EXCEPT the flywheel, and trans, and sourcing the correct flywheel, and an NV4500 would work though. Should have everything you need.

I've been pushing a LOT more torque than a 5.9 through my NV3500 for tens of thousands of miles. 235k miles total. I wouldn't think twice about it in a 1500, but a 2500 may be a bit much.

Punctuation will work wonders for ya!

The problem with the PCM is that it will throw various codes due to the lack of an automatic transmission being there.

The 318 flywheel will NOT work on a 360. You will need pedals, and possibly different driveshafts. If you wish to talk to me (I've compeleted the swap successfully), I'd be happy to help you get a idea of what it takes and walk you through over the phone. If you want to do that, PM me.

I'd urge you to make a write-up on this subject; seems to be an area where many are interested (including myself) but few have ventured. Any info on the web is very patchy / incomplete
