Default Aftermarket lug nut size?

Been trying to figure out what lug wrench would work on my truck as the factory wrench won't. I've got American Racing wheels and it appears the lug nuts that came with them. The nuts are 13/16th in. and the factory lug wrench is 3/4 in. So, needless to say my lug wrench won't fit the nuts. And I know it's not a matter of the wheels being in the way either, as I tested the wrench on my 76 and those nuts are 13/16 as well.

So if I bought an x-wrench, would I have to worry about the wrench not fitting my wheels since the pockets are kinda tight? Or no?

How about you buy it, try it, and report back. You have me on the edge of my seat.

The question is: will it still fit in the wheel pockets?

And I totally read what you said the...um...wrong way.

Worst case if it won't fit inside the wheel : i've been known to attack a couple with a bench grinder on occasion. just don't overheat it cause you'll lose whatever temper it has (if any) and only take off enough material to make it fit .

And if it bends your nuts are too tight!
