Default Rear end swap.

I gotta '95 ram that needs a new rear. I got a rear end in a '97 3500 van. Will this rear work in the truck? I'm not sure if the computer will run this newer rear end.

Computer won't care. So long as the connector for the rear wheel speed sensor is the same, it should work just fine. Make sure to measure things out though, to ensure that the rear will fit correctly.

A 95 uses a speedo gear anyway, right? If so it's a non-issue.

That's true. He could just swap the sensor between axles.

And that would probably work just fine.
