I did pull the pre-cat O2, and it helped a bit. So looks like the cat may be an the issue.

I tested with a magnet, and it's steel.

I pulled the throttle body off. Looking towards the back with a light I can barely see a small pool of oil all the way at the back. Then again my drive way is pretty steep, so it's probably pooling way back there.

CHOP CHOP.
Looks like this is what I'll be doing... plenum doesn't look like a particularly fun job though.

Yeah you have a blown plenum, bad cat and o2s. Make sure you swap out your pcv valve for one from the dealer only too.

Plenum really isn't that bad of a job. More time intensive then anything.

Replace your timing chain with a double roller while you're in there!

Just depends on what cat we're talking about.

Well, almost only.
Try to stay on topic please. Especially in the tech section. This is not helping the OP.

I got all the parts you guys said. Plenum, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, cloyes timing set. It's all going in next week along with hs roller rockers, headers, and a high flow cat.

I just forgot to buy a new ntk o2 senser. But that can be done after I get all this on. Never heard of doing the pcv valve either so I guess that won't get done.

I'll raise my older thread from the dead when I was talking about the full tune up and tell you guys the results.

Mine also sucked bad going up hills and even when I hammered it to the floor it was doggish. I am only getting around 10mgps also.

Grab that o2 , you'll need it and it will enhance your mileage as well. PCV valve is in your valve cover. On mine its driver side, however they seem to be on the other side in different year trucks. Grab one from a dealer, seem to be the only ones that work or so ive read on here. Shouldnt be more then a few bucks.

+1 to the dealer PCV valve. But beware, your old PCV might tear off in your valve cover like mine did. That was frightening.

The very top elbow ripped off and ripped off have the main body. Needle nose pliers, patience and effort finally got it all out without destroying it.

I did NOT want to pull the valve cover.
