I know, my fault. I saw the gears for d44 and assumed they had them for the 9.25.

Just a casual search turned up these: 4.88 Gears. I am sure there are others.

Thanks HeyYou. I didn't think the rear was a problem. Just wasn't sure! I think I'll stay out of the gear threads AND lift threads from now on. LOL

You can get away with stock gearing if you have the power to push them meats...

But what do I know.. I have a 400 hp 360 but its dead cause of a fuel pump...

On a side note... 4.10 would be ok for a dd rig. . Towing or off roading 4.56 or 4.88 as stated

what harm would it do wheeling or towing with stock and 35s though?

better have a huge aux cooler, check valve deleted, and a trans temp gauge installed in the truck. i learned the hard way. i had none of those 3, with a stock motor, a trans with 160k on it, and 35's. trans puked in less than 2 weeks, and that was with just dding.

I plan on doin 4.10s when I put 35s on around spring time. I should have enough power to push them things after next week.

I don't want any higher because I drive a lot of highway.

What are you doing to it chillyphil? btw... 4.56 gears will put the rpms back to "normal" range with 35s

Well right now just everything in my sig. Then next week I'm doing the full tune up including plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Plus the plenum fix. While that's all getting done, I'm gettin my HS roller rockers put in, shorty headers, and the high flow cat I got.

Hopefully it'll be enough
