Weird Coolant problem?
Just doing the regular monthly inspection on the truck and found some greenish looking liquid getting ready to drip from below the fan. It seems like its a very very very slow leak. Looked further and its coming from the Waterpump. The same one that just got replaced like 4 months ago!
Im not sure if the pump needs to be tighten, cheap gasket and seal, or if its a pressure problem. Took some pics. Anybody got a clue to what could be the issue?

I can try to upload some better pictures later. I thought the ipod would take better pictures. Guess not, looks like I took the picture with a potato.Off to get some more coolant...

New water pump from Napa installed it like 4 months ago. Also where is the weep hole located? Is it in the middle? Or is it where that tube goes into that hole right there? Truck drives with fine no problems with overheating or anything. Not sure how long its been leaking for. And not sure if this helps or not, I still have a rushing water sounds behind the dash whenever I start it or rev it. Thanks

i see the coolant accumulated at the bottom, but it looks like it might be coming from the heater hose pipe. it looks wet at the bottom and should be dry. get a new o-ring for it at your local parts store. remove the pipe and replace it.
make sure the o-ring location on the pipe is clean. if rusty, replace it. put some light oil or vaseline on the o-ring when installing.
coolant will drain from the block when you remove the pipe. you might be able to catch your coolant if you drain the radiator and the top of the block using the radiator drain.

Okay about to change the o ring once he cools down a bit.
Sounds like we should have a potato taking contest.Lol!

Only during the winter. It was pretty amazing last year after it snowed. It was nothing special just a little something. It was hysterical seeing various people especially the snow birds. Everybody in the town acted as if they had never seen snow before while the snow birds acted as if it was another day.Haha
Well installed a new O-ring and the piece that connects to the water cooler and heater hose was cracked. Replaced both of them and so far no more slight leaks. Thanks for the help until next time. Hopefully not anytime soon...
