Is .015 ok for read axle runout ?

Default Is .015 ok for read axle runout ?

HI,

I couldn't find this info in the service manual..

I measured the runout on the rear axle.. it was about 0.015. Is this ok ? Its bad juju if its in the front..

is this a 1500? everything from here on is related to a 1500-

are you talking about the in/out play of the axle against the c-clip's in the diff, or just the natural rotational runout from where ever the axle decides to settle in at.

in/out play against the c-clips should be a lot more, more like 1/16-1/8 of an inch.

the rotational runout, i wouldn't ever both checking since the c-clips have so much play.
