2002 Ram 5.9 is 5.5 quarts too much oil?

I have one and it is the same size as the OE as Zman stated they messed up routing the dip stick sleeve.

guess that would explain why both of the spectre pans i have(360, and 318) the dipstick is a pain in the ***** to get all the way in...

The dipstick is a pain to get in in my truck, with the friggin' STOCK pan......

Thought I was the only one with a bent up dipstick that is a fight to get back in! I wouldn't worry about 1/8 in past fill mark.
