Default axle and tire questions
Is the dana 44 open? if the rear end is 3.55 the front is 3.55 as well? What is the biggest tire YOU would run on a 3.55?

As white said, Yes, Yes and I personally run 285 and it's slightly dog-ish, but was minimized when I did the plenum. Unless you have a built transmission and an engine with some goodies on/in it, I wouldn't go any more than a 285.
