Default Possible Fuel Rail Trouble

I have a 5.9 Ram 1500 Sport 2WD and prior to any repairs the truck had not driven in at least 3 months. There was a hole chewed in the fuel rail crossover tube which I replaced and there appear to be no leaks and I do not smell gas. The truck is starting but will not idle on its on but will continue to run as long as I give it gas. Also if this has any affect the ac compressor/clutch is shot and makes a lot of noise and even sparks when the truck is on, any help would be great.

Try cleaning the throttle body first. (actually take it off, pull the IAC, and clean out the well. disconnect the battery while doing this)

If that doesn't seem to help, test the throttle position sensor.

Your A/C compressor sounds like its shot. While this isn't the cause of your idle issue (HeyYou provided great suggestions on fixing that issue), you should plan to swap out your compressor soon. If it locks up, it can cause the belt to shear and leave you stranded.

Thanks a lot. It started right up and idled just fine on its own.
