Default Front suspension

Does anyone know if a 3rd gen 1500 front suspension will work on a 96 1500 2wd

I want to stay 2wd. I was just wanting to put the knuckle. A arms brake assembly, hub, and whatever else. I just don't know if it will work.

only way to know is trying for yourself, but i believe not a bolt on swap, steering system is completely diferent, shocks are mounted inside of the coilsprings on the 3rd gen and the upper control arms are fixed vs adjustable on the 2nd gen ones
