Default Engine Swap

I know this is probaly a silly Question but here goes, I just bought a 2002 5.9 and am going to strock it. was wondering if it will work in my 97 which also has a 5.9. I am pretty sure they are the same blocks just want to be sure.

Yes they are the same blocks. You have to check to make sure that all your sensors are the same. The easiest is to just swap them all from the old engine to the replacement engine and then you know for sure. Of course if you want to start a new you can also replace all your sensors with new ones.

How many cubic inches are you planning to end up with once your stroker engine project is complete?
