I did the plenum gasket and now the motor has a knock I was careful and cleaned the intake off be for I took it off the motor is there something I can do to fix it befor the motor goes as soon as I heared it I truned the motor off

 

Did you change the oil and is the dipstick in the safe zone?

 

Yes two both the oil is just under the full line

 

remove the spark plugs and use a 1-1/4 socket to manually turn the engine using the crank bolt. see if you can find the noise point.

did you remove the starter and inspection cover over the torque converter. if so- take this back off first, as its easy to get it on crooked and the flex plate will hit it. i did this and it made a helluva racket.

 

Ok I'll have to try that it sounds like its coming from cil 6 or 8

 

Didn't drop something into the port did you?

 

Not that I know of it almost sounds like its not getting oil

 

How long was it apart for? Is the sound like a rod knock or more like a lifter tapping?

 

Rag on the oil pump pickup?
