Hey guys, I inherited my dads truck a few months back after a sweet trade off of my non-gas guzzling corolla, so i have very little knowledge a/b big trucks as of yet. My dad is die hard on maintaning vehicles and doing oil changes and keep up and what not. Just a few days ago as i was pulling out of the gas station (our home away from home it seems) i hit the gas to pull into the street and the truck didn't move.. almost as if i was in neutral, but i wasn't. So i hit the break then tried the gas again and this time after about a second of not moving it kicked into gear. It did that once more just yeasterday. Any suggestions as to what it could be? I drive a 99' Ram slt laramie ed. V8 magnum. thanks!!

 

check the tranny fluid level. Has the tranny fluid and filter ever been changed?
