Default Transmission question

Ok, so I'm getting ready to change my fluid and filter only and was doing some research and was curious....how often should the system be flushed? I just had a rebuilt ans only have 22k since.

Everyone here will say NOT to flush. Just drain, change filter, and fill. Flushing will dislodge any crap that can possibly get caught in the wrong place that will inhibit flow. Then it'll be another rebuild. If you want a more thorough change you can drain, fill, run, drain, change filter, fill.

IIRC, the "approved" flushing procedure basically involved pumping ATF through the system while adding ATF

Way too damn much to go wrong. Only got 22k since rebuild? Change the fluid, filter, and adjust the bands (if you're up to that part, I wasn't. lmao).

Rubber, and torgue the bolts correctly and recheck after a week or so. 13ft lbs. BTW, you really should install a drain plug also.

+1 on not over-torquing and on drain plug.

I "may or may not" have stripped one out when I reinstalled my pan. Tightened it down without paying attention to specs and felt it give weird. Stopped immediately, haven't touched it since, and thank God no leaks.

Default Question.. help??

I'm looking for the name of this gasket...it sits under the air filter cover where the big round tube of that cover sits on the throttle body and is screwed clamped on.. I think....mine weathered away.im pretty sure a gasket goes there. Or does the big round air filter tube just sits on it ??
