Gauge Bezel
After reading through the millions of dash threads I was unable to find any info on this.
I have some left over fiberglass supplies from some repairs I was doing on my boat and kayak. Has anyone tried repairing cracks/missing pieces of their gauge bezel with fiberglass then sanding, priming, and painting it? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Seems to me that the inside of the bezel is pretty much hollow... could do most of the repair/reinforcement on the inside, and just do some cosmetic touch-up on the side that shows..... smooth it, and paint it, good as new?

Fiberglass the inside, let dry, bondo from outside (against your fancy new fiberglass backing), let dry, sand and prime (unless using self etch primer), dry, paint, dry, clear, dry. Any other questions feel free to ask, I've done more than my fair share of interior repair and upgrading.
I do my interiors with walmart spray cans and if you go slow and even they come out looking amazing. You can definitely scuff to make the fglass stick better. Here's someone who's very useful on this type of stuff. I reccomend you watch all his stuff and subscribe. He know's what he's talking about... (for an aussie ;D )
