Default AC Question

So driving with AC on, while under medium to heavy accelerating, the AC stops blowing cold air. I can hear the fan, but when you put your hand on the vents, no air comes out. as soon as i let my foot off the gas, AC resumes nice and cold.

is that normal on these trucks? I should also say that I hear like a little door closing anytime i let off the gas, sounds like a trap door closing. weird?

Vacuum problem ! You can fix that by putting a different vac canister on it under the hood ! Mine has one from a ford and it blows all the time !

hmmm alright ill be researching that it seems like. I have cruise control and 4x4, CC doesn't work but 4x4 does. Its funny how all these things are related through the vaccum.

well will you look at that... took some pics of how all the vaccum lines are set up. does this look right?

This below pic: the V shaped valve goes directly into the manifold, and then it goes into the T.

then the T is connected to another T.

do those look alright? I think I already found where my leak is. The Cruise control line just doesn't terminate anywhere. fixing this should get rid of the wild vents right? I already bought the check valves, so I will replace those just for the hell of it.

Yea, it does look right, did you look for the "wild vents" thread as stated? Replace the two check valves. And repair that line to the CC servo under battery, and that should fix your problem.

i did, i read it and instantly replaced the PCV valve and those two check valves. the one by the engine wasnt holding air back, so its been replaced and also I plugged the CC line for now.

it still does it though, to some extent but its not as bad as before. so I can live with it. the wife has put an end to fixing things... for now.
