Default Replacement pump for AGR Rock Ram

http://www.agrperformance.com/Rockra...otorsports.htm

I bought the Rock Ram kit about a year ago. The hydraulic and gear box are still doing okay, but I can see a wobble in my power steering pump as the motor is running, so I figure it's not long to this world. The pump was never capable of delivering at idle, I'd have to rev it a little in parking lots to turn. Who makes a good high-flow power steering pump?

Howe racing and PSC Motorsports. The top 2 most prominent brands for hydro steering components.

Have you called up AGR to discuss your experience?

Yup, with a problem when the snap ring on the output shaft failed. The response was basically "send it in and we'll try to send you a new one in x number of weeks." I fixed it myself, and re-adjusted it to take out some of the play. I'd rather try another manufacturer...

Roger that! Definitely does not give a good feeling.

No matter what these aftermarket pumps are pricey.

Fwiw the green dodge I wheel with on 40s is still running stock PS pump with his ram assist. You might consider that as you can obtain from most parts stores and less than $100.

I'd like to know what you end up doing.

I'm running a PSC pump on my Jeep with a hyd assist ram. I overheated the pump and called PSC about it and they said send it in and we'll rebuild it for $100 and send it back to you. I'm running 38" tires and when everything was working I had no issues turning those tires.
So I vote for a PSC if you want to spend the money.
