I'm thinking it'll be easier to raise the bed since ill be doing this in my shop at home and I just filled the tank. I don't feel like siphoning it out.

It wouldn't work any other way. I was figuring it was the pump but wanted second opinions before I dumped $200 into the truck. Last winter the fuel gauge stopped working for a while then started again so I kinda forgot about it.

Good luck figuring out all the wires that get screwed up after lifting the bed. Spend 10 minutes and siphon the tank.......
I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 5.7 liter hemi that I have to press the gas pedal in order to get it to crank. I have replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, egr, purge, fuel filter and fuel pump, cleaned out throttle body, and it stills continues to not crank unless i press the gas pedal. Has anyone had trouble like this before and what could be the cause of it. My CEL is on and it coded out EGR again, but I just replaced it. Thanks for the help.
