95 w/ 46rh wont shift at all
I recently had my 95 tranny (46rh) rebuilt with a new torque converter. It had minor shifting issues (high rpm's sometimes) but two weeks ago after downshifting from 3rd gear while in D it would not shift out of first. I can run the tach up to 5000 and nothing. If I try manually, nothing. My mechanic is at a loss, as am I. Its pretty hard to find people online that have had this problem and repaired it. I have read everything from throwdown cable to Kickdown solenoid, to Throttle Valve Cable, even heard from another mechanic that it sounded like a valve was stuck. I have changed the flkuid and filter I am at a loss and don't have any other options for transportation someone please help....
Thanks in advance

Sounds to me like a crappy rebuild. I'm guessing you warranty has past? Take it back and make them fix it if not. And when you say "up to 5000" do you mean it won't move or wont shift out of first gear when you are moving? If that's the case, you might try replacing the transmission output speed sensor, and trace the wires that go to it. That sensor will be on the side of the tail shaft of the tranny or on the side of the tail shaft of the transfer case.
BTW, It would be nice if you added ALL the info about your truck to your sig and profile.

Code:
the truck drives in first gear fine, no issues at all shifting from R-N-D-2-1...normally would shift 1-2 around 25-30 MPH...currently does not shift at all manually or while in D regardless of how high the rpm's go....that's why I said I can tach it up to 5000...in other words I am stuck in 1st gear...not sure how to add a signature yet...stock 95 1500, 5.2, 3"lift
You stated the transmission was recently rebuilt. I believe the only good option you have is to take it back to the rebuilder and ask them about this issue and repair it. A properly rebuilt transmission should be shifting properly. The issue you are experiencing could be quite a few different things. At a minimum, the transmission pan will likely have to be dropped to see what's going on..
