how to get it off?
i use to detail cars in a porsche dealer and a body shop and in my experiance use the clay bar to really get it clean. you will need to wax the truck afterwards and it will be the smoothest feeling and best looking finish your truck will probobly every have. oh and reserve a couple hours to do the whole truck. soap and water may get some stuff off but not everything. the bar will, including the contamination just from the normal air. no matter what you do make sure you wax the paint well afterwards. i use to keep a layer of wax on so thick you could just lift sap and the like right off like it was nothing if you caught it soon enough.
I'm glad you got it off... I didn't see anyone mention my all purpose cleaner so I'll post it to for future browsers. I use scented dryer sheets to take stuburn things off of my truck. They are just course enough to have a good compounding and not scratch the paint. also the chemical in them disolves things like bug guts and tree sap... Perfect for love bugs which are all over here in the south.
Whatever you do don't use Greased Lightning, I used it to get deer blood of the hood of my dads red hunting jeep and it took the clear coat and some red paint off with it, that stuff is really strong!
