Default What changed in the 5.9l Magnum from 97-98?

From Wikipedia:
1994–1997 5.9 L (360 cu in) Magnum V8 230 hp (170 kW)[1] 325 lb·ft (441 N·m)[1] Z (5 for the heavy-duty version)
1998–2002 5.9 L (360 cu in) Magnum V8 245 hp (183 kW)[1] 335 lb·ft (454 N·m)[1] Z (5 for the heavy-duty version)

I have a '98 with the 360, and it needs some work. I think it is an exhaust valve, so I've been looking around. I found a 360 out of a wrecked '96 model for $350 I'm planning to go look at tomorrow. I thought they were the same from '94 until they switched to the hemi, but wikipedia says they were rated differently. Is there anything that would prevent the heads from a '96 from being swapped onto a '98 and working properly? Does anyone know what Dodge changed to increase output for the '98?

It will interchange not a problem there, I believe it was a small cam profile change. Do a comp test on that used motor before you buy it, better if you can hear it running and also check the oil pis.

Thanks Merc.
I would love to hear it run, but it's already been pulled.
I plan on pulling the plugs to see if they look okay and see if I can see any rust or signs of damage inside the cylinder, and looking into the intake, but I'm not sure what else I can do with the engine sitting in the guy's driveway. I'm not sure how long it's been sitting there either. The ad is from 9-18, but I'm not sure when the wreck was or when the motor was pulled.

Mmmmm I would not buy that motor unless you plan on rebuilding it, even then there is a very good chance those heads are pooched as well. If you can go look at some new heads from say Odessa they have some basic heads for good prices, not much more than what you will pay for that motor.

The center divider in the intake plenum was removed which probably accounts for 5hp of that,

My plenum still had the divider. I thought about cutting it out when I switched to the aluminum plate, but didn't spend the time.
