So im hoping Im not in the situation I think I am....but I would like to get some opinions here.

As of today after driving for about 10 minutes I've got a LOUD clacking noise coming from under the hood, the more I press the accelerator the more it clacks. Also when I eased up to the stoplight my truck died. Pulled into a parking lot and popped the hood and Ive got smoke coming out around the 3rd spark plug on the drivers side but from the valve cover.

My oil pressure is at its normal level, I just checked the oil a few days ago and added .5 qts.

Help me out here guys, have a gotten myself off the deep end here?

Possible broken valve spring, loose rocker arm, pull that VC and see what's going on under it.

 

I will tomorrow got a long weekend ahead of me that I can work on her. Ill pull it off and report with some pics.
