Power door locks Issue when ignition on
So, been slowly going through issues with my recently acquired 98 2wd 1500 5.2.Stumbling at this hurdle: Power door locks
Checked wiring through door frames and in door panels. all appear ok. Installed new driver side power lock switch, passenger buttons seem to work. have ordered new actuator passenger side.
So:
Key fob locks and unlocks driver side not passenger.
Driver switch works driver side lock and unlock only when no key in ignition, does not work passenger, clunks but no unlock or lock (ordered new passenger actuator)
When key in ignition, key fob still works, but not driver door switch (or passenger) only appears to cycle one way.... AAargghh

Grab the 01 service manual from the faq section here. (closest we have for your truck) Check the wiring diagrams, and see what changes with the key on. (which, so far as I am aware, is 'nothing'.....)
