Default Water pump

This weekend I've been trying to find out what has been squeaking on my truck I put a new tensioner pulley and power steering pulley I think I need a new belt to but my truck makes a god awful squeal when I accelerate and sometimes at idle, I can only think the water pump can be bad their wasn't any movement in the fan of the pulley though, also my bottle of coolant (on the fan shroud has oil in it from the looks of it, very dark and I changed this when my plenum was done) I think I need a new water pump ill try to post a video cause this thing is driving me nuts!! Thoughts???

Did you check ALL the pulleys when the belt was off? Spray some brakleen on one of the pulleys where the belt rides while engine is running(be careful), if the noise goes away, try replacing the belt. I personally like Gates and never had a prob. Some people like Dayco.

You need to verify it's oil in the overflow. Could be a bad radiator(tranny cooler section). Siphon it out and fill it with new coolant and keep an eye on it.

I sprayed the pulley with brake cleaner and it wasn't as loud but still was a squeak, also I noticed while I was driving back to school once I hit 55 it got much quiter. Also my heat was going in and out when it wasnt blowing their was no air hot or cold it just wasnt blowing at all but when it would work it would blow hot/normal, I know I need a new ac compressor but when I checked for movement on the ac pulley their was non, so could the ac compressor be a root of my problems possibly? I didn't get a chance to empty my overflow. Also for the guys who have had to change a water pump what were your systems my truck seems to be running normal, not getting to hot I didn't see any leaking around the water pump. Sorry for all the questions but reading other forums and post's and other docs haven't answered my questions. Thanks for any help!!

when my water pump went i knew it, i had water coming all out of it from the top of it, which is also where the weep hole is, it lets you know if the water pump is going out.

i had a ac bearing go out once on the compressor, and it would make a whining noise, it would go away after a min, but eventually got so bad it wouldnt, and it started burnin up.

Could be anyone of the pulleys. Or bad alternator bearing even.

How did you check for movement on the AC compressor? As in did you just watch it with the truck running or did you try to turn it by hand?

The interior of the ac pulley ( don't know the correct name) will spin then stop I have a video. Can I upload it via photo bucket? I need to take the belt off and check them all by hand again since last time I was frustrated and in a rush so I probably missed something.
