Trans Cooler
So I'm rebuilding my transmission and I'm debating a cooler I'm sure that this topic has been beat to death but i can't find a definitive answer. I live in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin, and I rarely tow or haul much I'm afraid adding a cooler to my truck will cause my trans temp to be to low. I know from last winter with out the cooler I would have to drive quite a few miles of put a piece of cardboard in front of the radiator to get the truck to shift into overdrive. So I guess I'm wondering should I put a cooler on or not.
i found a good EXTERNAL filter. just put in the right way. most chrysler trans have in fluid on the left side at the rear. be sure to use steel brake tube or high pressure hose. chrysler fluid tubing should be 3/8 dia. its cut and paste sorry.
man o man i about forgot yes its a cut & past sorry. __________________
after you clean the trans. add this to your*chrysler*trans. an external fluid filter
1. go to auto-zone. get 2210, its called a power steering filter, but it is for transs to. it is for 3/8 tubing. by (magna-fine) be sure to use high pressure hose. Reff:http://www.magnafilter.com
2. for other sizes wix 58964 5/16 tube size
