I have a 95 Ram 1500 4wd project truck with a 360 engine. It cranks fine and skips a little at idle and low speeds. At about 50mph, it is skipping BAD. If I gas it, it smooths out and if I drop my speed and rpm down seems to run ok as well. The check engine light also comes on and stays on until the engine is turned off. When restarted the light is off. Any ideas what could cause this?

When was the last time the plugs, plug wires, dist. cap and rotor were changed? It might be time.
Did you use the key to see what codes you're getting? Turn key on- off, on- off, on and count the flashes and pauses for the codes.
