Replacing Headlights
I got the AMAutoparts headlights as well. Picked up the ones that had the side markers, and the whole nine yards. They even came with all the bulbs. Around 80 bucks shipped to my door. They are exact factory replacements. (minus the yellowing) I have had them for quite a while now, and I am happy with them.

They are EXACTLY like the OEM. And now they're cheaper. I will take some pics later today and post them in this thread

Thanks for the link. I put amautoparts.com (without the dash) into my browser bar, and was redirected to another site that's 3 times the price.
I live in a very rural area with lots of deer, so brighter would definitely be nice. Then again, mechanics are few and far between, and I'm not one, so plug and play is a good thing.
Would the 99 Sport housings need special wiring? Read somewhere that they can't be wired directly into the 98 headlight switch.

Merc could probably help you out with that since he did it to his truck

The link is supposed to have the dash in it BTW...
Yes they do require some extra wiring, and some wires need to be changed in the factory plug for the current headlights, it's not hard work at all. The gain to be had is huge, well worth your time and effort/cash to install them. I choose not to wire them into the factory headlight switch for my own reasons.
This will give you an idea as to how to wire in the extra bulbs, it not a complete dia. Note this is a neg switch relay dia, much safer that a 12+ switched relay.

I used male sockets to plug into the factory headlight sockets, and ran wires from those to the control tabs on relays. The new headlight sockets were powered directly from the battery via the relays. This avoided any cutting into the factory wiring, and so far (almost 1 year) it's worked with zero issues..
