Default 9.25 and Dana 44 Question

Hey all,

I need to know what the stock ratios are for the Chrysler 9.25 rear axle and the Dana 44 front axle for a 1999 ram 1500 4wd. I can't find this info anywhere!

under the hood there should be(or there used to be) a sticker that would give you the info.

but its 90% most likely that you are geared at 3.55 if its an offroad edition 4.10. But most likely its a 3.55 ratio

If you got the towing package you would get a 3.90 ratio. If you've got the 3.55 and are putting 33" tires on, skip the 3.90 and go for the 4.10.

Eh I'm almost 100% sure the towing package just had 3.55 gears. Only ORE had different. I have the towing package, heavy duty package, blah blah blah and I only have 3.55 gears.

I think your thinking of newer model trucks that do have 3.92 ratios available

The 3.92 gears were a opt back then, very few of these out there.

Edit: I was just looking at my window sticker, 3.92 N/C so it must have been in a package but what one idk.
