Default 5 speed swap won't start

Ok so I swapped my auto 46re tranny out this weekend for a manual nv3500 everything went pretty smooth but now I'm done and ready to rip it won't start, not even turning over !

I have the manual ecu, and the neutral safety switch plugged in that's with the clutch pedal ? I'm not sure if thy switch is good tho

How do you bypass the neutral safety switch ?

Any thoughts on why it won't start ? Thx

There's a switch you have to ground, I can't remember if it's the manual neutral or something left over from the automatic.

I've never done it, but I want to.

I haven't either, but I really want to put a Nv4500 behind my 360. But I've read a couple threads of people that do.

The more I think about it, I think you have to ground the switch that only lets you start when the truck is in park. But since there is no "park" it's just confused

Doesn't that mean it'll start in neutral and in gear now too?

If you are using the automatic wire loom there was a 3 wire connector by shift linkage on the tranny. The 2 wires on the outside of the plug are for backup lights and the middle wire is the neutral safety. I just grounded the middle wire to bypass the neutral safety (truck starts without the pedal pushed in). Another thing when doing this swap is the CPS is different between the manual (little shorter) and auto. All of this was learned swapping my 97 1500 cab and 5.9 automatic to a 98 2500 5.9 manual. Hope it helps.

:EDIT: Just read the OP again and noticed the ECM change also. If you think the switch is bad you should be able to unplug it and run a jumper wire between the wires coming into it to test it. If it starts the switch is bad, if not then there is another problem. All of this is assuming the dash lights up and the fuel pump cycles when you turn the key on.
