Default 5.25 speakers to 6.5

Anyone mounted 6.5 in the back? Should I mount them under the seat or make em fit where the stock ones go

I can't even get the trim off for my back speakers. I think it'd be a pain to install them in the factory location.

It's been a few years since I upgraded my stereo in the 2000 ram. I know I went bigger than stock in the back and it was either a 6" or 6.5" and they fit in the stock speaker location. I'm thinkin it was a 6.5 but not sure. It was definitely bigger than stock.

I put 6.5" Rockford-Fosgates in the stock location behind the seat, no problem. The slotted holes work in the factory spot. The only thing you have to do is to clip off the tabs that extend away from the speaker at one corner where the sheet metal interferes.
