Wheel bearings keep blowing !!!!!
what do u mean? outer.... i know nothing of front end work...im just learning but i am a do it my self er mostly... i do all my work on my cars so im not that much of a noob but with this i need help im out of ideas without bring it to someone that gonna charge me a arm and a leg ...less i got to bend and get pro help... ill take what ever pics and enplane what ever as long as you can be patient...i spent 3k on the truck.it has 167k miles.. the guy got hit on the high way on the passenger side .. so he says....i reall cant think why else it keeps blowing the bearing i have not got my torq wrench yet but i dont think thats the real prob...it just goes to fast i had the truck 2 months and replaced the bearing 4 times the wheel always shakes a day or 2 after i replace it
It's really hard to tell, I loaded the image to photoshop to try to get a ******* straight edge to it and I think the inner C is bent the knuckle looks OK but that's hard to tell. That's a sketchy conclusion but it's at least 6 degrees of negative camber. That could actually be a bad ball joint too but that's not gonna make the bearing eat itself. Couple things, Are your control arms OK (the stamped metal upper and lower arms that align the axle to the frame). If they are crinkled, bowed out or damaged in ANY way they need to be replaced, this is a given even if you end up replacing the axle itself.
And lastly, before you actually do any of the above...is the rim damaged? Have you tried to have it balanced? A damage rim would certainly wreck a bearing in a hurry. You could give it a visual check by simply having someone slowly roll the truck forward while you lean your head on the fender and watch the lip of the wheel. (I realize how dumb that sounds but your eye is designed to catch movement).
I'm going to load a pic of my inner C on the same side for comparison, I tried to take it from a slightly higher angle with the axle centered in the image.

If you guys look closely, you'll see that there's a camber adjustable balljoint in the upper. Look at how the upper balljoint's shaft is off center from the upper part. There's your camber issue. Hello mcfly.

I agree with these guys its pooched. My Q now is what else is bent, those don't bend that easy. Fwiw if it was my truck it would be off to a frame shop and have it checked out. I would not spend a dime until this is done.
ok so its the C? or the ball joint.. sorry i am just off of work and not really understanding what you guys are trying to help me on. i am trying to figure it out can u just explace in blunt form tell me what i could and the worst of it all is a? but again i just got thw truck about 2 months and i am thought less on this probles except for only knowing i am stressed out on this buy i have made if its a 500 to a 1000+ fix......
