Default Do I have it covered??

After reading literally hundreds of posts and threads, I'd like to think I did the basics in getting the most out of my truck for basic performance and it running properly. Here is what I did..(without breaking the bank)

98 Ram 1500 5.9
Plenum fix, CAI, cat back exhaust

I cant tell if I have the death flash, bc there is no sticker on PCM. I do however have ALWAYS noticed issues with it lagging on highway around 70mph and having to floor it to accelerate and let off to drop into higher gear...

I have just ordered a superchips flashpaq to hopefully deal with this issue and gain a few more horses.

Is there anything else I can do to make it run better? Do I need to change anything once I run the programmer?

*note* I have used the search function to no end and did not find these answers....plus I have been a member on here for years so save the nonsense replies...

thanks

Dave

how about a full tune-up with a timing chain replacement? I've heard that going to a double roller chain can make a big difference in engine performance, especially on a higher mileage engine...other than that, you pretty much have it covered. The SCT from hemifever is likely a better tuner for performance but they're no longer available (until the new ones come out) and the superchips is definitely the next best thing. You can always re-sell the superchips and get the sct later. The next things to do for performance are fairly high-dollar items (headers, roller rockers, intake manifold, etc.)

O2 sensors if you didn't already change them. At least the front one.
