Default dodge ram 1740

Hay guys and gals
can someone tell me what is the deal with fault code 1740.. My 2001 dodge ram a week ago set this fault and I started to go to the net to find out what it's about. No one can tell what really is causing it I went to the dealer and got a presure restricter plate with a bigger hole the size of a tooth pick but i can't tell were it goes. I work for a BMW dealer and those at this point are not as big of of a pain as this truck is...

Is your tranny acting up? P1740 is the torque convertor clutch or overdrive solenoid.

There are several resons for the p1740 code .I had the same code last winter, took it to the dealer and they did a stall test on the t. converter.Found the T.C. was bad(very common with dodge). Changed it myself with one from Level 10,been fine ever sence.
