Not sure if spline count on the NP 241 is the same as the 231..... or shaft diameter for that matter....

If you can find a donor truck that is the same configuration as yours. (cab and bed length.) Grab the t-case, and driveshafts as well. Getting the WHOLE truck would be best, then you can also grab things like springs, hangars, etc.

and also when looking for a dana 60 will i have to stick to danas around my same year and of the same make or will a dana 60 from like lets say a ford or something fit in it as well just questions i have been pondering in my head that i figured i would ask some people who have had to deal with finding there d60

I am using my org rear Ds with the 241 xcase, just modded to suit (shortened). To keep things ez use a front Dana 60 from a Dodge Ram 2500, 95-99 are the years I prefer.
