Default 1998 Dodge ram 1500 Wheel specifics.

I am planning on putting some 15x10 wheels on my 98 ram 1500 4x4. I just don't know all the specifics on which wheels will fit without any problems. I already have a new set of 33x12.50x15 wrangler MT/R tires to mount up, just wandering about offset and backspacing. If you have any ideas or suggestions that don't seem to pricey, that would help too.

Look for some online shops. They might have some better deals for you. I once purchased a Michelin, got around 100 bucks discount from autoanything. You might wanna try the online option.

Stock backspacing is 4.5 inches. (I do believe....) 10" wheels are about 2.5 inches wider than the stock 16's though, so, unless you have some lift, you are going to have interference problems, backspacing will determine where they are. Stock backspacing, you will more than likely rub on the lower control arms. Less and you most certainly will. More, and it will probably hit the bumper, and/or the rear of the wheel opening.

You will need at least three inches of lift (in the front) for those tires to have any hope of fitting. 15" rims also may hit various steering/brake parts. (tie rod end, or caliper....) Rear won't be a problem.

Best bet would be to 'test fit' the tires on some rims you like, mount them up on the front, and see what ya get. Take it from there.
