Those have the potential to rub in a bunch of places. Control arms, back of the fenders, bumper. You need more lift to do 35's.

Tire shop will know what offset you need.
I'm running 33x12.5 on my 99 Dakota with no lift. Just a tb crank.
Minor rubbing on Front insides when turning to lock.
3" BL and offset wheels should fix that fine.
Your fullsize with a 3" lift should fit 35's but be prepared for hits.
I say put the tires you want on. Fix the issues later.

What do you suggest 5 in level. And or current 2in level and 1.25 spacers?

To go beyond 3", you need a real lift kit. Longer control arms, drop pitman arm, etc. Either that, or do a body lift.

So a lift kit would achieve 35s with no rub? I would rather just buy a lift kit and not a lift and body lift kit.

Good Choice. (lift kits aren't precisely cheap though...) You may still have some issues with rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock, but, that is really wheel/tire combo dependent.

Size of tire has nothing to do with back spacing. Back spacing is your wheel.
Measuring from the part of the wheel the hub bolts too to the inside edge of the wheel. Put a ruler across for accuracy but you could geuss.

so my truck has the factory lvl kit, and I am running 315/75/16 grabbers with wheels that have a +10 offset. my wheels with that off set were fine with the 285s I had, but with the grabbers they rub the control arms when at full lock either way, and if you are turning and hit a bump they tend to rub the back side of the wheel well. according to my local tire shop, my tires require a wheel with at least a -3 offset. so my wheels might be up for sale soon if anyone is looking so I would probably lift a little more to stop the rubs
