Default 1994 gen 2 318 eng install

i had my engine go bad and i am ready to install a replacement but i did not mark the plugs from the harness to the flywheel position sensor and the dist.

the harness has two plugs that are both 3 prong and the only difference is that one has an orange weather seal and one has a brown weather seal..

the dist and sensor on the flywheel both do not have any color on them at all.

anyone out there tell me whick is which before i connect them wrong and may never get my big hands back there again once installed..

thanks in advance sorry i didnt mark them upon engine removal..

The crank position sensor is located father down on the passenger side of the engine. I'd think that the connector with the longer wire goes to the crank sensor and the shorter one goes to the distributor.

Download the service mmanual from the FAQ's section on this sight and it should show which one's which. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html
From the manual:

Look at wire colors for the two sensors. Also, the connectors should be keyed differently......

Ok lets break this down:
1 K24 20GY/BK CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR SIGNAL:

1= cavity number
K24= circuit number
20BK/LB=20 gauge wire Black/with Light Blue tracer
CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR SIGNAL-Function

Each pinout above breaks down the same way.
Hope this helps

there was a very small difference inside the plugs that make them easy to figure out if you looked very close. at first they appear the same but one has a male groove on the side and the other has a female groove on the side..

got it figured out now thanks very much.
