Unhappy Sharp turn wobble

Recently when turning sharp, like when in a parking lot- the truck wobbles. It feels like a huge hump in the tire. It does it no matter if I turn Right or Left. What could this be?

Moving this to the tech section for ya.

Are you in 4 wheel drive when this happens? If not, (or, if your truck is 2wd....) might just need an alignment, or, have a bad tire.

Do NOT use 4 wheel drive on dry pavement. You will break things. What you were experiencing then, was completely normal. When you turn, front and rear wheels follow different paths, and move different distances, sharper the corner, the greater the difference. In 4wd, the front and rear wheels are locked together, so you are introducing a bind in the driveline. Usually, what happens is, one or more... tires will slip in corners, generating the wobble feeling you got. But, if the tires get too good of traction, instead of slipping, something else will break.

On dirt, snow, grass, whathaveyou, anything but bare pavement, its not as much of an issue, as things can slip fairly easily. You may still get a case of the wobbles, but, you aren't in as much danger of breaking expensive parts.

Never, ever use 4wd on dry pavement.
