2000 360 Rebuild Completed :)
I actually completed this motor a while ago but I had been very busy with life & my new job and haven't had much time to post, but I wanted to show everyone pictures now that I finally took them off my phone, of the 360 I built
The motor is my sister's for her 2000 Ram 4x4 Extended Cab and so she wanted it to look like Hello Kitty lol. So I looked on ebay & found Pink Engine Paint lol
The motor is basically a stock rebuild, but has a "Full Race Balance" that the machine shop did for me on all the pistons, rods & crank & damper. They said it wasn't needed for a stock rebuild not pushing over 4500rpm on a regular basis, but My sister beats her motors pretty good so I figured that'd help cut down on bearing stress across the whole RPM range. Glad I did because the motor is VERY Smooth and has a TON of power!. It had 200,000 Miles on it prior to the rebuild, my sisters husband neglected checking the oil and she did a nice loopy burnout one day & starved the motor for oil & screwed the cranks front main bearing...all because of a bad plenum gasket losing oil & lack of checking oil!. The bores had their perfect cross hatching marks intact, so I had just a light hone done to clean them up, plus I had the block baked & boiled.

The Heads are a thicker casting from Odessa, hopefully no cracks will ever happen in them!. I took them completely apart & reassembled them to ensure proper keeper & valve placement, as well as to check the seats.

Timing chain is a Comp Cams 3 position Double Roller, & yes I used the stock timing keyway ;-)

looks good! that was nice of you to do for your sister. Out of curiosity was it just a stock rebuild our did you install some aftermarket parts?

These are them... & yes the shortys produced a nice low, mid & high range pull to the truck
But mid to high was where I noticed most of the gains.
