Do I need to order anything else like the harness, error eliminator, or the adapter cables?

If you get the 55watt kit you should get the relay kit but as for the eliminators double check their help/support page it lists what vehicles need them. I have the sport headlights so a high and low bulb but I only have the low bulb hooked up so i don't use them. but my moms 2005 jeep with auto headlights I had to get the eliminators.

I read somewhere that the stock light housing should be replaced because it is not a smooth piece which will hinder the hid. Is this true or just stupidness that I read on the google machine

If you don't have the sport headlights or the clear ones where you can see the bulbs clearly then they won't be as bright as normal headlights but they will still have the blue tint and be brighter then stock bulbs.
